LONDON, UK 29 March 2023 – newcleo, the clean and safe nuclear technology company developing innovative Generation IV reactors using nuclear waste as fuel, announces the appointment of Former French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly to its Board of Directors.

Having served in various senior leadership roles in the French Government and with extensive management experience in major French industrial and transport corporations for over two decades, Florence Parly brings a wealth of expertise and competence to newcleo’s Board. Her intimate knowledge of international decision-making processes, her understanding of how science can serve society, and her support for energy solutions that protect the environment will add very significant value to our Board of Directors.

Florence Parly’s appointment comes as Julia Pyke resigns, due to her appointment as joint leader of Sizewell C.

Stefano Buono, newcleo Chairman and CEO, commented:

We are honoured to welcome former Minister Florence Parly to our Board. She will be a true asset to our company as we continue to build a new competitive standard in nuclear energy, to meet the rising global demand for clean, safe and reliable power.

Florence will bring a sophisticated and international perspective, and will help us grow and further develop our unique lead-cool fast nuclear reactors. We are looking forward to working together and benefit from her expert guidance.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Julia for the many valuable contributions she made to newcleo during her tenure, and wish her all the best in her new role.
